Anna e Luca

After more than thirty years dedicated to caring for people, with days and nights compressed into demanding schedules and a deep sense of fulfillment for what we experienced, we were given the opportunity to slow down and look back. We realized that "we have less life ahead of us than behind us" (Mario De Andrade).

So, in 2024, we left the commitments and pace of the medical profession to reclaim our lives, rediscovering the value of time, places, and relationships. From these reflections and this change, the project “Il Tempo del Borgo” was born, with the desire to bring benefit to people through hospitality.

In truth, we are not addressing simple tourists, but those who travel in search of a different perspective of knowledge and awareness. The project becomes operational in 2026 with a first location and is intended to develop in three places. The conditional tense reflects not only life’s uncertainties, but above all our wish that this pleasant activity never becomes a dominant obligation, compared to our choice to live slowly.

Our working lives were dedicated to caring for people who were suffering, for whom the value of time had become tangible and urgent. Thanks to them as well, we reconsidered our priorities. We decided to slow down in order to discover the true value of slowness.

Now, by making our homes available, we would like to take care of the quality of life (both our own and that of those who choose to be our guests) in an environment that is as respectful as possible. To learn more, see “Sustainability”.

Our goal is to create the conditions for new rhythms and perspectives. We do not simply rent houses; we offer opportunities to experience a different way of living.

Stefano, a teacher, vegetarian biologist, and caretaker of the vegetable garden
