Recycling

Waste separation and recycling are mandatory.

We manage a biodynamic garden where we practice composting and permaculture, and where a small number of laying hens roam freely. These activities can be discovered and experienced during your stay.

Solidarity

Together with you, we support the Social Cooperative "Il Pungiglione", an important organization providing social support in our local area.

With every reservation, upon your arrival you will find a package of solidarity honey produced by the Cooperative, whose value supports the "Villaggio dell'Accoglienza" which brings warmth to those who do not have it. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to see and learn more.

Zero Waste

We have aimed to minimize the use of plastic and PFAS, as well as single-use and single-portion products. We use only recycled paper, eco-label detergents, and our soap is handmade.

Sustainable Tourism

The accommodations we offer are certified under ECST (European Charter for Sustainable Tourism). We have also adhered to the Charter of Values for Sustainable Tourism of the Tuscany Region.

We have chosen energy suppliers who certify that their energy comes from renewable sources. We strive to avoid waste: all appliances are energy efficiency class A. We use only LED lighting, and all faucets are fitted with flow reducers. To support slow and sustainable mobility, an e-bike charging station is available.

Recommended Books

At the entrance of the “Tempo Lento” house, we have set up a small bookcrossing station that is part of the Italian “take a book, leave a book” network, where anyone can find or leave books of various genres.
