Il Borgo di Villecchia
If the city is big, the village is small, the "borgo" is even smaller.
Villecchia is a small hilltop village in Lunigiana, northern Tuscany, set at 400 meters above sea level within the Apennine Biosphere Reserve near the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park. Far from overtourism, it is a quiet place reached by foot, bicycle, bus, or car, about 10 km from the Magra Valley, where fewer than 20 residents live among carefully restored stone houses.
